Introducing...

My very own rabbit egg cosy! I know it's a bit late for Easter (early for next!!) but at least I actually finished it. I am very good at starting projects and never finishing them. I had some trouble with the face and getting the head to the right shape and even now it is still not perfect but will just have to do as my first attempt. I am privileged to own a one of a kind, original Little Cotton Rabbit - called Albie. Even looking closely at Albie's head for guidance, I still couldn't get it right. I have a new respect for Julie at Little Cotton Rabbits, she has a busy life and yet still manages to produce such gorgeous little knitted animals.

I Hate Parsley

I have always suspected that I don't like parsley and I have just confirmed it. This week I bought a bag of baby leaf herb salad. I love salad but on my first mouthful of this salad something just didn't taste right. Further investigation (reading the back of the packet) revealed that the offensive little green parsley leaf was the culprit. See photo below - those are the ones I removed from my salad.



So it's official - I hate parsley!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Every Valentine's Day I like to have a surprise waiting for my family when they come down to breakfast. This year was heart shaped balloons and chocolates (arranged in a heart shape). I like to keep it simple because it's not about how much you spend but how much you love.

Annual Reminder

When I was outside earlier I noticed something peeping through the melting snow. It may not look like much but to me it is my annual reminder that spring will soon be here - my daffodils have sprung to life! I don't know how long they have been up but it almost seems as if it happened overnight.

Friends with a new baby boy are visiting tomorrow and I wanted to make them a card. I really should have made something blue but I had bought that lovely spotty, glittery card (under teddy) on Wednesday and was itching to use it.
