A Day in Brighton

A couple of weeks ago we went to Brighton for the day....looks like we weren't the only ones to have this great idea!!



The weather was amazing



As I sat on the beach I tried to photograph the seagulls flying overhead



Do you know how difficult it is to get a perfect picture??



Perhaps I should stick to taking pictures of things that stand still?





The water looked so inviting



That looked fun



I loved the shopping!! These shops are along the seafront





But the best place to shop is in The Lanes, a maze of narrow streets with a wonderful selection of shops



That's where we spotted this delightful gentleman. I felt like I had stepped back in time!

Walking in Wiltshire

It was half term holidays last week and we did a couple of day trips. First was a visit to Caen Hill Locks which are on the Kennet and Avon Canal in Wiltshire. There are 29 locks over a distance of 2 miles. All the locks are manually operated and I was glad that I was on foot and not in a boat, it took the boats hours to get through.

My Version Alphabet Photography - Letter A

I'm working on photographing my town in an unusual way - see this post.

I have two possibilites for the letter A. Both taken at the local Church of England church.

Possibility 1 - the steeple

I ♥ Nando's

Not only do I love the food in Nando's restaurants but I also love the decor.

Nando's in Woking has one wall decorated floor to ceiling with these mini canvases



Closer inspection revealed that some were painted



Some were mosaics



And some were beaded



I guess I'll have to eat more Nando's so I can post more pictures?!!
