When I should have been working...

I was making this:

Friends with a new baby boy are visiting tomorrow and I wanted to make them a card. I really should have made something blue but I had bought that lovely spotty, glittery card (under teddy) on Wednesday and was itching to use it.

Friendship, Hot Chocolate & Pastry

No prizes for guessing what I've been up to today. And yes, it did taste as good as it looks!

A Photo A Day

Some of the craft blogs that I visit have undertaken a project to take a photo a day, for the purposes of scrapbooking. I am not a scrapbooker but I thought what a great way to record my year.

I don't know if I will be able to keep it up but I shall give it a try!

So here is my first picture....Today was really foggy and I couldn't resist taking a pic of the field just outside my front door.

Weekend Cards

I managed to make two simple cards this weekend:

The large flower above is a metal accent by Carolee's Creations.

These flowers were hand cut to match the little flowers on the paper to the left of the ricrac. Sparkle gems are 'bling' by Kanban Crafts.

Cards by Mum

Whilst rearranging Chloe's birthday cards, I came across this one made by my Mum:

Mum's cards are always produced on a tight budget but always come out beautifully. This one has an image printed on transparency film (for overhead projectors) and is attached to the card with brads and paper flowers.
Here are a few more cards made by Mum:

Thanks Mum, I love you! x

I Finally Did It!!

After contemplating creating my own blog for well over a year now, I have finally taken the plunge and here I am! I always seemed to have so much swirling around in my head and thought that if I had a blog I would have so much to say but now that I am here, I seem strangely short of words!

I finished Chloe's birthday card today:

Supplies used: Silver '16' from Sweet Sixteen decoration www.partyark.co.uk/sweet-sixteen-sparkle#X3255; Elzybells Art Stamps - Flower Girl (minus her flowers!).
I had to make my own pompoms as I recently gave away huge bag of unwanted craft sundries, thinking that I'll never use that stuff again. Isn't that always the case....keep something for years and never use it, give it away and suddenly you need something that was in that bag!
